Oregon Coast cities are home to tourism, fishing, and cozy bed and breakfasts.

Portland is the commercial center of the state and the most populated area.  Intel and Nike Corporations are economic powerhouses of the state, both are based near Beaverton, Oregon in the Portland area.

Eugene, part of what is often called the “Eugene Springfield” area, is home to the University of Oregon, both a football and academic powerhouse.    An hour north of Eugene is Corvallis with Oregon State University.  Medford is the commercial capital of southern Oregon.   Ashland is notable for the 10 month Oregon Shakespeare Festival, one of the world’s top theatrical venues.   Jacksonville is a historic town – one of the few nationally designated as such.
