REAL ESTATE – ELLEE CELLER, REALTOR – I am a healthy Realtor in my retirement years, although I am still love working. Like many of you I have grandchildren. They live in Vermont and in Portland, Oregon. Although they are not close, they are very important to me.
As I age, I observe that many grandparents are disappointed because they expect to spend more time with their grandchildren and can’t because of where they live. So they move to the children/grandchildren location. But surprise, they discover they have too much time on their hands. These young families have incredibly busy lives.
So how can you solve this dilemma? I’m not sure, but I want to hear from you how you are dealing with this issue. I’d like to hear from grandparents about their experience and how they have made peace with this dilemma–or no dilemma. I will then report to others who are about to make a life changing moves the issues they face. So, please just comment on this blog and I will gather up all the comments and share. Have a great day.
